Chef Tim on Julia Gray's "Cooking With Gusto!"

Tune into "Cooking With Gusto!" on KBND (AM 1110) at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 9 to hear Tim dish about food with host Julia Gray.

 

Women Tasting Wine on Monday, August 25 at 4:00

Don't panic! It's organic! Join "natural wine" advocate and expert Jeff Weissler this month for a lively discussion of the "New Wave of Organic Wines."

According to his website, Weissler "blends a passionate combination of interests in wine, health, nutrition, and the environment as the creator of the ConsciousWine program. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the fine wine business, with a focus on telling the stories and selling the wines of the family farmer."

Ghost Tree Invitational - Dinner on the Range: Sat., Sept. 6

Last year, Chef Tim served up some 1,200 Duck Confit Tacos at the Ghost Tree Invitational's "Dinner on the Range," with many people coming back two and three times for more. Packing 100 pounds of fresh, warm tortillas from the Jackalope's neighbors at Tortillaria Reyes, hand-shredded duck confit in sauce Tim "made up on the fly," an avocado-tomatillo guacamole, fresh pico de gallo and queso fresco, these were not your run-of-the-mill tacos!

This year, Chef Tim will apply his magic to Elk Sliders with homemade condiments.

The primary beneficiary for this year's event is the Hospice Center of Bend-LaPine. According to the website, "Dinner on the Range is a first class epicurean event featuring sixteen renowned local chefs and the finest west coast wineries and breweries. You do not have to play in the golf tournament to attend the dinner, it is open to the public and individual dinner tickets may be purchased."

Dinner on the Range begins at 4pm, and food and beverage service will begin at 5pm. Get the details here.
